The music scores used in the field of popular music are known as 'master rhythm notation' or 'chord notation' and are mainly written around chords. However, conventional music notation software was mainly designed to create orchestral scores, and many of them require time-consuming chord input, making it difficult to create music scores that can actually be used in the field. Moreover, changing one item would unintentionally change other items in tandem, making it impossible to change just one area of the score, which was inconvenient for many users. Clover Chord Systems is a dedicated master rhythm notation software developed to solve the problems of many users.
Designed around the concept of handwriting on a musical score, Clover Chord Systems has a simple and intuitive user interface that makes it easy for anyone to create a musical score, while still being able to freely edit the details as if they were handwritten. Furthermore, the program, which was written from scratch in source code and developed independently, is ultra-lightweight and provides a stress-free user experience.

Code input
- A unique input system that has been thoroughly pursued to enable time-consuming chord entry in existing music notation software to be completed as quickly as or even faster than handwriting.
- It deploys three-step input, which allows any chord to be entered, and one-step input, which allows diatonic chords to be entered with a single click, with one-step input automatically following the key of the bar it is entered in.
- All codes entered once remain in the history and can be entered a second time with a single click.
Martrix input
- The unique Rhythm Matrix palette allows visualisation of rhythmic notation with slash notation.
- Each of the resulting rhythm notations can be easily chorded.
